91.9 WFPK presents
An Evening with Béla Fleck

Béla Fleck has reinvented the image and sound of the banjo through his remarkable performing, recording, and composing career. He has won 16 GRAMMY Awards across Folk, Pop, Jazz, Classical, and World music categories. He has received 30 GRAMMY nominations in more categories than any other instrumentalist.

Having participated in many different musical ensembles - New Grass Revival, Strength in Numbers, and the Flecktones, to name a few – and collaborated with artists including Chick Corea, Edgar Meyer, and Zakir Hussain – this Louisville performance will give our audience the opportunity to enjoy Béla “solo.”

Bring your instrument and jam after the show!

After the Béla Fleck concert, you and your fellow music lovers can keep the evening going with a special event in SCENE at the Center.  Bring your instrument and play along as Louisville Folk School leads a post-show jam session.  If you don’t play an instrument, just come by and enjoy the fun!

Ticket holders can drop off their instruments in the Mary Anderson room on the Main Lobby level 30-minutes prior to the show and pick them up again immediately following the concert in the Bomhard Theater. Our helpful volunteers will gladly show you to the appropriate location.

The Mary Anderson room will be staffed with security. However, The Kentucky Center is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged instruments. Please leave your heirloom and/or favorite instruments at home.

The post-show Folk Jam will take place in SCENE (next to the box office) immediately following the performance. SCENE will provide cash bar service. The jam will run until 10pm.

Group pricing is available in select areas. Call (502) 566-5152 for details.
